Hey y'all, it's fall!

Fall, though not my favorite season, does have its advantages. Football, food, and fires make it worthwhile.

GeorgiaJanet

will be appearing at the Bluffton Book Festival November 19. Take a weekend getaway and come on out!

Getting dark at six o'clock lends itself to cocooning at home, writing or snuggled up with a good book, movie, and coffee.

Speaking of writing,
Dorothy May is coming along...

Dorothy's only surviving son.

                           ...as is This Teacher Talks.
The latest installment of This Teacher Talks is now on GeorgiaJanet. It's the prelude to a major event in my journey!

Oh yes, one last thing-

Because there is nothing like summertime on a red dirt road in Georgia, I’ve gone red!

Can you see it shimmering in the heat? Smell the dust as it flies? Taste the grit in your mouth? Feel the ridges as you bump along in an old truck?

***********************************************************************************  A new poem…Again with Pain

http://www.georgiajanet.com/?page_id=480

Again with Pain

You think you will never laugh again
You can't see past the pain
You think you will never dance again
When all you can feel is pain
You think you will never be at peace again
Amidst the tumult of your pain

You would be wrong and you would be right
You will laugh and dance and be at peace again
Yet, surely and incessantly, the pain will remain
You will do these things again with pain
With pain, you will do them again.

A new post on
 If These Walls Could Talk

Like the graphic? GeorgiaJanet designed it just for If These Walls Could Talk. You may be seeing again in the near future - could it possibly be the cover image for a new book?

Don't forget Madam May has been revised and is now available in print as well as ebook. It is doing well! If you have read the book I would REALLY  appreciate it if you would take the time to do a short review on Amazon. Go here: MADAM MAY

This and That

There is hope for aspiring authors!

It is surprising to see the names of some notable authors who asked for their work to be destroyed upon their death. What a tragedy if we did not have the beautiful poetry of Emily Dickinson to fuel romance. As for me, I don't give a cotton-pickin' flip what happens with my ramblings after I am gone. I'll be too busy dancing on heaven's streets of gold to care!

Check out other well-known authors who did not have a claim to fame while living:

Many of you have asked...

It won't be long now and you will be able to purchase Madam May in print! Hopefully it will be available by mid-late February. Keep checking www.georgiajanet.com for updates.

You know Georgia Janet loves summer...

Just couldn't take any more gray cold days, so I am escaping the winter for a warm week on a cruise in the Caribbean. GeorgiaJanet will be a Bahama Mama for a few days!
